England vs. Norway is still days away, yet the excitement is still at fever pitch following the exploits of the Three Lions in Monday's win over Mexico at the World Cup.
The performance has been labelled as England's best tournament display since winning the trophy in 1966, and it's sent fans into a frenzy that football...might...just be coming home.
However, it wouldn't be England if we didn't do things the hard way, and there's a potentially massive spanner in the works IF Thomas Tuchel's men do overcome Norway.
Five of the squad are currently on a yellow card, meaning a further booking against the Norwegians would rule them out of any possible semi-final.

Which England players are on a yellow card?
Going into the quarter-final clash on Saturday in Miami, there are several names who will need to be careful not to go into the referee's book as they are already carrying a yellow card.
Another booking would automatically rule them out of playing in the next game, a possible semi-final against either Argentina or Switzerland.

It's a nightmare scenario for the England boss, who could lose five of the first names on his England sheet if each of them receives another booking against Norway.

Could any player miss the final if they were booked in the semi-final?
The better news for England is that if any of the players escape a booking on Saturday and the Three Lions do get through, then the same rules don't apply in the semi-final.
FIFA changed the rules for 2026, so all yellow cards are wiped after the quarter-final stage. Therefore, only a red card would mean missing any potential final appearance.
