NFL Draft: The top player available

Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee

McCoy was one of the best cornerbacks in college football in 2024, earning Second-team All-SEC honours. Unfortunately, he tore his ACL in January 2025 and missed the entire following campaign.

Reports suggest his fall is due to a different injury.

When he's healthy, his quick-twitch movement and instincts in zone coverage make him a dominant force in the secondary.

In 2024, McCoy balled out. He limited opposing quarterbacks to a 53.6 passer rating when targeted and finished with seven pass breakups and four interceptions.

He was healthy enough to compete at his pro day, showcasing his impressive athleticism by logging a 40-yard dash time of 4.37 seconds, which would have ranked second among all CBs at the 2026 NFL Combine.

There are still some very real concerns, or he wouldn't have fallen this far. But Day 3 is exactly where you take a chance on a player with this kind of ceiling.
