Four-time WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson has withdrawn from the tournament due to health reasons, while Kelsey Plum has also withdrawn with a lower-leg injury.

Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen have been drafted in as replacements and will make their World Cup debuts.

China

Dallas Wings center Li Yueru will miss the tournament after her passport was lost while being sent to the United States, and she could not obtain a replacement before the deadline.

Other than that, China have a clean bill of health and will be able to start a strong side against the overwhelming favourites.
