I've had over 100 fights, I've faced Tony Bellew, I was Tommy Fury's debut opponent, but I have not won a fight since 2015

With over 100 fights to his name, the Latvian fighter has featured on many high profile shows and he has taken on some big names along the way since making his debut back in 2003. 

Taking future world champions like Tony Bellew and Krzysztof Glowacki the distance, Andrejevs’ toughness has made him an in-demand opponent on the European fight circuit, and he provided many top fighters with much-needed rounds on their respective journeys up the rankings.

As well as facing Bellew and Glowacki, Andrejevs has also exchanged blows with Tommy Fury when he was selected as his opponent for the popular fighter’s professional debut back in 2018. 

This weekend, Fury participates in another huge battle following his 2023 wins over Jake Paul and KSI, but he’ll have his work cut out for him against former world strongman champion, Eddie Hall . 

Fury’s career has prospered since his victory over Andrejevs, but what about his rival on that night? 

With the fight taking place on the undercard of Carl Frampton’s unforgettable slugfest with Josh Warrington, it appeared Fury was set for stardom from the beginning due to his handsome looks and family name. 

For Andrejevs, he dusted himself after the setback and fought six times in 2019 without tasting victory once or even forcing a draw. 

With the COVID-19 pandemic having a devastating impact on boxing, Andrejevs would only fight three times in 2020, but one of those bouts came against future light-heavyweight contender, Ezra Taylor. 

In 2021, Andrejevs would fight for the final time, and he would leave the sport with a stoppage loss after being halted in round four by Perry Howe. 

He retired from the sport with a record of 10-113-3. His last win was in 2015 when he defeated Deniss Cikulins.
