Aaron McKenna has opened up on his unlikely friendship with Kendrick Lamar, stating he has "an open invitation" to his fights.
The middleweight contender will bid for the IBF crown atop Zuffa Boxing 10 at Dublin's 3Arena next month against Etinosa Oilha.
It marks the most important test of McKenna's career thus far - and could remarkably come in front of the superstar musician.
Grammy-winning favourite Lamar struck up a bond with the Irishman when they met in Los Angeles after the pair met in a gym.
"We walked in and there he was," McKenna told The Ring. "We could not believe it. He was sitting there and we got talking.
"We've seen him a few more times. I had a fight coming up in Fantasy Springs. He made the trip down there and watched the fight.
"Just before I was going to walk out, he came in and wished me luck. I've an open invitation if he wants to come to a fight in Ireland.
“I remember talking to him and he was very fond of Ireland. He liked the Irish people so it'd be great to see him back here again.”
