Mason eyes lightweight unification after late Bell stoppage

Abdullah Mason hopes for unification opportunities after mounting a successful WBO lightweight defence against Albert Bell.
The champion left it late on Saturday night in Cleveland, but came through against his last-gasp challenger with a stoppage.
Having taken out Bell, Mason is now ready to turn his attention towards the rest of a crowded division filled with contenders.
Speaking on Inside the Ring, the star admitted that it is something of a priority as he seeks to build an impressive legacy too.

"I'm very interested," he said. "In boxing, you've got to prove that you're the best in the sport, so that's what I'm open to doing.
"I'm open to proving that. Whoever, I'm open to stepping into the ring with any of those fighters. I'm definitely open to making it."
While Mason currently reigns with the WBO, only Raymond Muratalla is a fellow champion at lightweight, holding the IBF strap.
William Zepeda and Lamont Roach will meanwhile meet for the WBC title next month, while the WBA crown remains up in the air.
