Warren 'confirms' Fury vs. Joshua location

The chaos surrounding a location for Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua has taken another twist with promoter Frank Warren almost certain the fight will take place in America. 

Warren has vested interest in this fight as Fury's promoter, but has been silent when it has come to the prolonged negotiations while Eddie Hearn, who promotes Joshua, is campaigning for the contest to take place in the UK. 

The driving force behind this all-British clash taking place in the US is Netflix who will be the broadcaster, and speaking to Sky Sports, Warren acknowledged that the streamer has the final say on where this bout will take place. 

"I think because of the amount of money involved, I hope I'm wrong, but I think it will go on in America," Warren said. 

"Would I like to see it at Wembley? Would all the fans like to see it at Wembley? Of course they would.

"But they are in the hands of another broadcaster who wants the fight in America."

Mayer teases fights against Shields and Price

Mikaela Mayer returns to action on Saturday night when she faces Chantelle Cameron in a WBC and WBO super welterweight unification fight. 

If Mayer comes out on top, she has her sights set on two big names within the women's code, the self proclaimed 'GWOAT' Claressa Shields and unified welterweight champion Lauren Price. 

"Our teams have already discussed us going at it and potentially fighting each other," Mayer told BoxingScene when discussing the possibility of a fight against Shields. 

"One-sixty is her minimum that she’s willing to go down to. So, you know, if I want the fight, I’ve got to accept that and go to 160, which I’m not a 160-pounder, I’m barely a 154-pounder, but I’d be willing to do that for a megafight against Claressa Shields. And we’ll see."

However, for Mayer, Price is the priority. The American also holds the WBO women's welterweight world title and is eager to face Price for undisputed honours following her meeting with Cameron. 

"She threw out Lauren Price’s name also, that’s the fight I want next. Really, that’s my fight because she’s got the other belt at 147," Mayer continued. 

"Her and I, we’ll fight for undisputed if I can get that fight with her. So I don’t really want her to go fight Claressa Shields because that holds me back from challenging her for undisputed."
