Hearn anticipates Crawford-'Boots'
Eddie Hearn believes a bout between Terence Crawford and Jaron Ennis can still be made if the latter becomes undisputed super-welterweight champion.
'Boots' and the Matchroom supremo have long been in pursuit of 'Bud', who hung up his gloves last season after a legendary win against Canelo Alvarez.
But speaking to The Ring, Hearn mooted a clash could still be made adding: "I think this is going to be the fight. It's going to be the biggest fight in boxing.
"If [Ennis] beats [Josh Kelly], he'll fight [Sebastian] Fundora, and if he becomes undisputed, I think Crawford will happen. I think it's an unbelievable fight.”
Cameron hopes to skip Mayer rematch
Chantelle Cameron has acknowledged that her hopes of a super-bout against Claressa Shields could well be scuppered by Mikaela Mayer's rematch hopes.
The former edged past the latter in their unified super-welterweight bout, and is now turning her attention to a potential clash with the Michigan native next.
Mayer has already professed hopes for a second dance, but Cameron is keen to secure her clash against Shields instead before turning to any other bout.
"I won, so it’s winner stays on," she was quoted by Boxing News. "Claressa has said she wants to fight me. [Mayer will] have the rematch, but she can wait.”
Cruz-Subkhankulov set for IBF clash
Andy Cruz will have a second shot at the IBF lightweight title after the governing body ordered a bout with Artur Subkhankulov for the vacant title strap.
The former came up short in a January bout against then-champion Raymond Muratalla, and seemed as if he would need to wait longer for another turn.
But the latter's decision to vacate and move up a division has laid out a path for the star to chance his arm against top-ranked contender Subkhankulov.
The Ring reports the two will face off after Cruz was passed over by Albert Bell for an eliminator earlier in the year after the latter opted for Abdullah Mason.
