Lopez blasts Davis over Haney duck

Teofimo Lopez has questioned Keyshawn Davis over his "insane" decision to duck a WBO welterweight title encounter with Devin Haney.

'The Businessman' had appeared set to challenge the champion following a successful Top Rank purse bid, but walked away from the bout.

There has been suggestions that Davis considered his cut - a career-high payday - too low, with Lopez stating the star must earn his cheque.

"That was insane," he told FightHype. This doesn't look good on him. I think he was asking for too much money. You have to prove it though."

Crawford offers 'bloodbath' bout

Terence Crawford believes a showdown between William Zepeda and Emanuel Navarrete could be "a bloodbath" after the former's success.

The Mexican star earned his WBC lightweight stripes over the weekend with an impressive display against Lamont Roach Jr. in Las Vegas.

That has caught the eye of 'Bud', who acknowledged he was surprised and impressed - and now is ready to see him against Navarrete too.

The unified super-featherweight champion could step up soon - and Crawford told TNT: "You talk about a bloodbath, it’s a bloodbath waiting.”

Olaniyan salutes 'the icon' Taylor

Adam Olaniyan admits it will be a "pinch-me" moment when he fights on the undercard for Katie Taylor's farewell bout in Dublin next month.

The latter will bring the curtain down on a glittering professional career against Flora Pili at Croke Park in a historic encounter for the ages.

Olaniyan, now 3-0 as a professional, has nothing but praise, telling Boxing Scene: "She’s an icon. I wouldn’t say an icon, I’d say she is the icon.

"She’s like the sportsperson of Ireland, and to be sharing a card with her, that’s also a pinch-me moment because I’ve grown up watching her."
