DAZN News rounds up the biggest stories from a busy night of boxing on Saturday, August 8.Â
In Leeds, a rivalry was reignited when Callum Simpson and Troy Williamson went head-to-head for the British and Commonwealth super middleweight titles for a second time.Â
Simpson was out for revenge after being stopped by Williamson eight months earlier, and with new trainer Rob McCracken, the Barnsley fighter was a different man.Â
He was willing to put Williamson under pressure, and found plenty of success early, and at one stage could have stopped Williamson in the third.Â
Williamson did come back and had Simpson worried heading into the championship rounds, but the latter managed to hang on despite tiring after a fast start.Â
After 12 thrilling rounds, Simpson was confirmed as the winner on the judges' scorecards with scores of 117-112, 115-113 and 116-112.Â

Ireland has a new champion Aaron McKenna, who beat Etinosa Oliha for the vacant IBF middleweight title.
Dana White's Zuffa Boxing made its Irish debut, taking over Dublin's 3Arena where just a week earlier, Pierce O'Leary and Mark Chamberlain put on a Fight of the Year contender.Â
This fight saw McKenna end 16 months of inactivity and he was a level above Oliha, who could not compete with the skills on show by the Irishman.Â
McKenna did push for a stoppage in the latter stages after landing a number of hurtful shots, but in the end his win was confirmed after 12Â rounds with scores of 118-110, 117-111 and 116-112.Â

Dina Thorslund is the undisputed champion at bantamweight after making easy work of Cherneka Johnson in Florida.Â
Thorslund, who was once a unified champion, was not afraid to go toe-to-toe with the Australian, and this aggressive approach put Thorslund in firm control of the contest.Â
Johnson was unable to claw back the lead her Danish foe had built on the scorecards, and come the final bell, Thorslund was declared a comprehensive winner on the cards with all three officials scoring the fight 100-90 in her favour.
