Another member of the Fury family, James Dean Fury, entered the world of boxing on Saturday night, live on DAZN.
Appearing on the undercard of Troy Williamson's rematch with Callum Simpson, Fury, whose cousin is former world heavyweight champion Tyson, made his professional debut against the durable Dzmitry Atrokhau.
When it comes to pro debuts, more often than not, the a-side is given a pushover to look good and make a statement, however, for Fury, he was made to work for his win over Atrokhau.
As each of the scheduled six rounds passed by, Fury, who is trained by his uncle Peter, was getting more frustrated and even led to him issuing angry instructions in between rounds.
For Fury, he too was annoyed with how he performed and acknowledged that the occasion may have got to him and influenced his actions inside the ring.
"Me at my best, that man out there, no disrespect to him, he’s got a load of experience, but he should not have touched me," Fury told DAZN News' Eze Obasi.
"What happened is I went out there, got hyped up, got carried away and it is what it is."
What was a big concern for Fury during his six rounds against Atrokhau was how easy the 20-year-old was getting hit which led Peter to constantly remind him to keep his hands up.
Fury knows there is plenty of work to be done inside the gym after his professional debut, but he is confident the lessons he can take from this contest will put him in good stead for the future.
"I made a lot of mistakes. I’m still confident, I still believe I can just tidy things up. There were a couple of things in there I was doing well, but there’s 90% of the things I was doing wrong.
"At least I’ve been in there now, made the mistakes and I know what not to do next time."
