Tszyu frustrated by 'diva' Spence
Tim Tszyu has described Errol Spence Jr. as "a diva act" after the American was a no-show for a pre-bout face-off earlier this week.
The two are due to meet in Sydney on July 25 in the latter's comeback bout, with the fight set for DAZN Pay-Per-View and DAZN Ultimate.
But Spence failed to show for a virtual media event earlier this week, catching the ire of Tszyu and promoter George Rose for his actions.
“[It is] just a diva act," the Australian was quoted by The Ring on Spence's call. "That's all alright. On July 25, the hands will do the talking."
Tszyu handed prime WBO spot
Liam Paro will bid to secure a WBO welterweight defence against Manny Pacquiao rather than seek unification bouts for his next move.
After dethroning Liam Crocker in Brisbane last month, the two-weight champion is chasing the legendary Filipono fighter for a dance.
But while Boxing Scene notes Paro and his team are keen, Pacquiao may require some persuasion to make a major trip down under.
The star had been lined up for a long-awaited rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr., and still hopes to resume his rivalry there too.
Whittaker eyes Benavidez bout
Ben Whittaker believes he would be ready to face David Benavidez by mid-2027, as 'The Surgeon' seeks to find bigger challenges.
After a brisk win over Richard Rivera on his pro stateside debut last month, the Briton is expected to return for a domestic fight soon.
But that has not stopped him telling Fight Hub TV that he believes he would be ready to face Benavidez "100 percent" next year.
The latter is currently at cruiserweight and eyeing unification chances, but still has a vested pursuit for light-heavyweight honours.
