The fight is set to be held at the  T-Mobile Arena , in Las Vegas , United States .

It feels strange to suggest that this is the fight both men have spent much of the past year-and-a-half working towards when taken at face value.

But ever since blowing his shot against Rolly Romero last year, Garcia has long needed to earn his stripes - something he did back in February.

Likewise, Benn's gripping duology with Chris Eubank Jr. did more than just settle a blood feud - it opened his own path towards glory once more.

Even with a move to middleweight, the Briton had made little secret that he saw himself as a top operator at welterweight with plans to return too.

But when the WBC installed him as the leading challenger for the winner of Barrios-Garcia, there were many who felt he had jumped the queue.
