Warren wants Davison answers
Frank Warren wants answers from Moses Itauma 's trainer Ben Davison over the way both the star and his team managed their fight with Filip Hrgovic .
The Briton missed his chance to claim the IBF heavyweight title after a dramatic late collapse at The O2 Arena where he seemed to run out of steam.
Now, The Ring quotes Warren seeking a response from the 21-year-old's key ally, over what appeared to be a golden chance that went begging instead.
“We will have a chat,” the veteran promoter said. “There’s certain things that I’ve seen in the fight and seen on the night that obviously have got to be dealt with."
Benavidez threat played down
David Benavidez is a "great fighter", but Noel Mikaelian does not feel the star is a "boogeyman" to the cruiserweight division despite his impressive reputation.
The latter is set to face Jai Opetaia later this month, with the winner potentially in line to meet 'The Mexican Monster' next year in a possible unified showdown.
Many view Benavidez as one of the few men who could rule as undisputed - but Mikaelian told Fight Hub TV he does not believe the former should be feared.
“He is a great fighter, he is very entertaining," he stated on the star. "He is young, he is hungry, definitely a good fighter, but I wouldn’t see him as a boogeyman."
Muratalla vacates lightweight title
Raymond Muratalla has vacated his IBF lightweight crown, with suggestions that the star is paving a path towards a blockbuster bout with Shakur Stevenson .
The star is set to move up a division to light-welterweight and have a crack at securing success in a new class - and may well have his next bout lined up yet.
Stevenson has not fought since earning WBO honours over Teofimo Lopez Jr. in January, and has been linked to a succession of glamour-class encounters.
But Muratalla could prove to be an attractive proposition, with Boxing Scene reporting trainer Robert Garcia is hopeful a match can be made between the pair.
