Shields set for middleweight swap in Price mega-bout

Claressa Shields will switch divisions to face fellow Olympic champion Lauren Price at middleweight next year, per reports.
'The GWOAT', undisputed at heavyweight, will shed the pounds in order to set up a blockbuster battle with the Welsh star.
Having previously agreed to a mega-bout earlier this year, there had been questions over what division any bout would unfold in.
Speaking to The Ring, promoter Dmitriy Salita has now shed further light on plans for Shields, indicating she will drop down.

"Our intent is to make [the] fight," he said. "Claressa flew out to Wales for Lauren's last fight and demonstrated her interest
"We’ve since had meaningful discussions [with Ben Shalom, Price’s promoter] and they’ve exchanged some words, as fighters do.
"They’re two Olympic gold medalists. It’s one of the biggest fights in boxing and another legacy-making statement for Claressa."
Salita set no timeline, adding: "There are details that still need to be ironed out, but we’re optimistic that at some point it will get done.”
