Ricardo Mayorga featured in many big fights against several massive names, but who does he consider the best fighter he ever shared a ring with?
The crazy Nicaraguan who was promoted by Don King for long periods of his career shot to fame in 2002 when he stopped Andrew Lewis in five rounds.
That victory brought him the welterweight world title and set him up for a series of fights against many high-profile fighters.

Mayorga would defeat Vernon Forrest twice to become the world’s best welterweight, but after that success, he would endure many hard nights.
He would lose to Felix Trinidad, Oscar De La Hoya, and Miguel Cotto, but Mayorga considers Shane Mosley the best fighter he ever faced.
Mayorga first took on Mosley in 2008, and he was stopped in the final round, and Mosley would register another stoppage, in round six, when they clashed in a rematch seven years later.
“Mosley: In my book it’s Shane Mosley,” said Mayorga when speaking to The Ring.
“He’s the most complete fighter I have ever faced.”
