'Should call it a day!' - Dillian Whyte hopeful of Mike Tyson retirement after Jake Paul bout

Mike Tyson should "call it a day" after his professional comeback to Jake Paul ended in defeat, with Dillian Whyte believing he does not need to achieve anything else.

The Baddest Man on the Planet lost his first professional bout for almost two decades when he faced the Problem Child last Friday.

In a low-wattage encounter, a tired Iron Mike was beaten by his much younger foe by unanimous decision.

It was a dissappointing coda to one of boxing's most infamous careers, and now Whyte feels the time is right to quit for good.

"No, I don't think he should fight again," he told Sky Sports News. "Boxing is quite addictive but I think Mike should call it a day.

"He doesn't need to achieve anything anymore. He doesn't need to try and prove anything to anyone.

"He said he was trying to prove to his kids that he is a special person. He doesn't need to prove anything.

"He should just retire now. He's had a good run, he got himself healthy and he should just leave it now."

Whyte himself has not fought since defeating Christian Hammer in March to move to a 30-3 record of his own.
