Eddie Hearn ready for Joe Cordina to face 'unbelievable talent' Shakur Stevenson after 'KO of the year'

Eddie Hearn was thrilled with Joe Cordina’s demolition of Kenichi Ogawa in Cardiff on Saturday night.
Matchroom has another world champion after the Welshman became the IBF super featherweight titlist with an astonishing second-round knockout.
Talk soon turned to a potential unification fight with Shakur Stevenson but in the aftermath, Hearn wanted to discuss the quality of the performance.
“WOW!!!! KO of the year or decade whatever you want to call it..and the new baby!” Hearn tweeted.
Speaking after the fight in the ring, Hearn stated that Cordina had proven his quality as one of the elite fighters in the division.
“It’s how you win a world title and people questioned the power of Joe Cordina,” Hearn said. “Tonight, he announced himself to the world.
“If Welsh boxing needed a shot in the arm, this is the young man to do it.
“Shakur Stevenson is an unbelievable talent but that is the sort of level of dream Joe Cordina has got to have to become undisputed.”
