Will Fury-Joshua be finally dated?

Speculation had been rife that 'The Gypsy King' could have dashed from Thailand to Saudi Arabia for a big face-off on Saturday night.

That was not to be, but nevertheless, a date and venue surely cannot be far away now for Fury and Joshua's long-awaited encounter.

Rumours currently suggest New York City in November or December. Whether there is any truth or not, the runway is now truly clear.

Roach and Zepeda aim for glory

Across the United States, there are more pressing matters at stake this weekend however for Lamont Roach Jr. and William Zepeda.

The duo will meet in Las Vegas for the vacant WBC lightweight title, in what promises to be an intriguing affair between them to boot.

With interim champion Jadier Herrera bypassed entirely for a shot, neither man will want to let this big opportunity slip away in Nevada.

O'Leary tackles Chamberlain

Almost five months after defeating Maxi Hughes at Dublin's 3Arena in one of his most assured performances, Pierce O'Leary is back too.

The star returns to the same venue against Mark Chamberlain, the man he was originally due to face before illness scuppered their plans.

Credit is due to each star for sticking on this encounter. Hopes are high for some major fireworks - and both will want to deliver in spades.

Will Bentley be issued mandatory?

Denzel Bentley has been talking up his hopes for a major domestic bout with Chris Eubank Jr. as newly minted WBO middleweight champion.

But there still remains questions to be asked over whether the star could be ordered to take a mandatory challenger for his maiden defence.

Freshly promoted to the strap from his interim title, Bentley would like the chance to choose. Hopefully, for him, clarity will be incoming next.

Moses poised for further title talk?

It is unlikely there will be too much noise from the camp of Moses Itauma, one month out from his bout with Filip Hrgovic at the end of August.

But with Frank Sanchez still widely linked to an IBF bout against the star, he is sure to remain a man firmly in hot demand for title opportunities.

How the Briton and his team shut out the noise remains to be seen. But suggestions of an imminent shot are unlikely to clear any time soon.
