Frank Sanchez earned himself a shot at the IBF heavyweight title after dismantling Richard Torrez Jr. with a Giza knockout win.
The Cuban had been seen by many as the underdog against the unbeaten American heading into their bout in Egypt on Saturday.
But a low, hard blow from Sanchez left Torrez sprawled on the cavas, with the latter falling back as he tried to subsequently stand.
Victory theoretically cues up a crack at Oleksandr Usyk for the star, while his opponent now faces a rebuild after a first pro defeat.
