Sheeraz explains Zachenhuber problems after frustrating win

Hamzah Sheeraz has opened up about his win against Simon Zachenhuber, revealing he suffered a hand injury in the bout.
The Briton defeated the German in a surprisingly low-wattage performance on the Anthony Joshua-Kristian Prenga undercard.
Sheeraz faced criticism from several quarters following his first WBO super-middleweight defence after his recent red-hot form.
But speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, the Briton has now lifted the lid on his struggles after sustaining an issue early on.

"I had picked up a little injury during the fight," he stated. "I didn’t make it a thing after because I didn’t want to. We’re recovering.
"I think it [happened] in the second or third round. I hit him in a funny place, right at the top of his head, and felt it straight away.
"But I got through 12 rounds [and now] back onto bigger and better things hopefully. We’re on the road to recovery as we speak now."
Sheeraz is eyeing a third bout before the end of the year, having earned his crown against Alem Begic in a May blowout in Giza.

Ahead of his bout with Simon Zachenhuber, the Briton had made little secret that he wants more belts at super-middleweight next.
His path to those is a little murkier, even without mandatory orders. Christian M'billi and Osleys Iglesias both have bouts lined up.
In an ideal world, Sheeraz would love to take a crack at Canelo Alvarez, but he cannot afford to wait until the latter's own return too.
That leaves Jaime Munguia and the WBA strap - but if there is a bout to be made, teams and powerbrokers must move fast to sort.
