John Hedges and Pat Brown will contest the biggest bout of their cruiserweight careers thus far when they meet in Manchester.
The pair meet at Co-op Live on Saturday, September 19 for the British and Commonwealth crowns, live worldwide on DAZN.
Hedges, the incumbent English champion, has long been earmarked as a leading contender for a shot at the Lonsdale Belt.
But he must do so against unbeaten Olympian Brown, who has assembled a terrific highlight reel since turning pro last year.
"I’m very happy for a date and location for my fight versus Pat to be announced," Hedges noted in a confirmation statement.
"Everyone is counting me out but I’m here to show them that John Hedges will be the new British champion come September."
Sale-born Brown was similarly effusive, adding: "This is the biggest fight of my career so far and there’s no better arena for it
"The Lonsdale belt is so prestigious, every British boxer wants to take it home and that’s exactly what I’ll be doing on the night."
