Taylor handed potential three-foe shortlist for farewell bout

Taylor has signalled her intent to have one last dance before retiring and Eddie Hearn is set to have talks in Dublin on Friday about the possibility of staging it at the city’s Croke Park.

Nakisa Bidarian, who co-founded MVP with social media influencer Paul, has provided three names who could fit the bill for Taylor’s final opponent, with the contest being eyed for this summer.

He suggested Caroline Dubois, who recently unified the lightweight titles with a win over Terri Harper, as one potential foe for Taylor, and he also put forward the winner of Holly Holm vs. Stephanie Han.

The pair fight for Holm’s WBA lightweight belt next month and Bidarian believes the winner could be a frontrunner to face Taylor later in the year.

"I could see a scenario where the winner of Holly and Stephanie fights Katie Taylor in her last fight. That's also very logical to me," Bidarian told Sky Sports News.                    

"Stephanie Han is a great story, a mother and a full-time police officer. Of course, over the past 12 months she's made more money than she ever thought possible being part of MVP but her background and her story is phenomenal."

As for Holm, she is a legend of fight sports having not only had great success in boxing, but she was also a UFC champion and famously defeated Ronda Rousey in the octagon.

Taylor is represented by Matchroom Boxing and Bidarian is keen to work with Eddie Hearn’s promotional outfit to stage a legendary event at Croke Park.

He added: "In partnership with Matchroom, absolutely. I don't want to ever overstep that relationship because they've worked together her entire career and I think to Katie's credit she's always been loyal to them, whether she's in contract with them or not, and we want to respect that.

“It's only bigger if we do it together. If Eddie and I sat down together and came up with a plan for that Croke Park fight, we want to do it together."
