Ex-British champion books new featherweight foe on Frank Warren show

The former, who previously reigned as continental champion between 2022 and 2023, was originally due to face Zak Miller at the city's Co-op Live.

An injury to the ex-British champion however has forced a reshuffle for Frank Warren's latest Magnificent Seven show, with Italian Grandelli stepping in.

The latter has launched two prior attempts for the EBU strap himself, though fell short in losses to Mauro Forte and Cristobel Lorente two years ago.

Davies, himself an ex-Lonsdale Belt holder at light-featherweight, has boxed just once himself since a loss to Shabaz Masoud back in November 2024.

He will hope victory here can further move the needle on his prospects amid the shuffle of a division preparing for its next slate of world contenders.

The pair will meet on the undercard of Moses Itauma's latest heavyweight test against Jermaine Franklin, as the Briton goes from strength to strength.

The star turned over Dillian Whyte inside one brilliant, brutal round in Saudi Arabia last August, and will have his eye on a potential world title shot too.
