Foster clashes with Stevenson after WBC title defence over Ford

O’Shaquie Foster made it clear during fight week before Saturday's WBC super featherweight title defense against Raymond Ford, live on DAZN, that he wanted Shakur Stevenson next after taking care of his close friend.
Foster (25-3, 12 KOs) took care of business, taking control in the second half of the fight to retain the WBC title over Ford by majority decision. Then another fight nearly broke out in the aftermath.
Foster leaned over the ropes and talked trash to Stevenson and dared him to come into the ring. The WBO and Ring Magazine super lightweight champion was happy to oblige and made a beeline to the ring. Stevenson and Foster went face-to-face, talking trash back and forth. Foster said he'd fight at 135 or move up to 140 if that's what it takes to make the bout happen and kept daring Stevenson to accept the challenge. And Stevenson screamed at Foster, telling him that he'd beat and "knock him out" and also continuously calling him a "bum" which upset the WBC champion.
There is an option for Foster besides Stevenson at 130 pounds, and that's a title unification with IBF and WBO titlist Emmanuel Navarrete. A Navarrete showdown is something Foster is interested in but a super fight with one of boxing's biggest stars really excites Foster.
"If I can't get Shakur next, hopefully me and Navarrete can do it next,' Foster told DAZN's Chris Mannix. "But you all know what I want."
