That result made him an instant star, but his success as the world's best lightweight was short-lived as he was beaten by Geroge Kambosos the following year.
After sharing the ring with prime eversions of Stevenson and Lomachenko, who does Lopez believe would emerge victorious if the pound for pound pair ever stepped into the ring?
Lomachenko has teased a comeback in recent weeks and a showdown with Stevenson would likely be near the top if his priorities, but if both men were meeting head on at their best, Lopez gives the edge to the man he defeated almost six years ago.
