Ricardo Salas vs. Jesus Saracho: Who has the edge heading into their fight?

Now, the ‘Magic Man’ returns to action Sunday night when he will take on fellow Mexican prospect Jesus Saracho at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas. The welterweight bout will serve as the co-main event to the Jai Opetaia vs. Brandon Glanton headliner for the inaugural Zuffa Boxing cruiserweight title.

Like Salas (22-2-2, 16 KOs), Saracho (16-2-2, 12 KOs) has erected a win streak since fighting to a draw, having won his last two fights over Joepher Montano and Peter Dobson in May and November, respectively.

“When two Mexicans go at it, it’s a guarantee of a war, so you can bet on it,” Saracho said during the fight press conference Friday.

Salas added: “As he said, a war between two Mexicans is bound to happen. It’s always guaranteed and we’re going to put on a show on Sunday for you.”
