Ryan Garcia names the only person he wants to face after Mario Barrios

Ryan Garcia may have the biggest fight of his life ahead of him on Saturday, but he is already thinking about who he wants to fight after that.
‘King Ry’ bids to win his first world title when challenging Mario Barrios for the latter’s WBC welterweight title at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this weekend, live on DAZN PPV .
The pressure is on Garcia after a lacklustre performance when dropping a decision to Rolly Romero last May and he needs a big performance if he’s to realise his undoubted potential.
However, he has his eye on somebody after Barrios and he didn’t hesitate when asked if he knew who he would like to fight next.
Speaking to The Ring, he said: “Yes, I do. I do have a preference.
“I don’t want to get too far ahead, I think I’ve made it very clear. People know who I want and, as the champion, I would love to handle that business, but I don’t know if he will come up. You guys know.”
When asked if that person is Shakur Stevenson, Garcia was quick to respond: “Yes, for sure. Yes.
“I just want that work, I’ve been waiting for that rematch since I was in the amateurs. I beat him for sure.”
Garcia wants revenge
The pair fought when they were in the amateurs and Stevenson came out on top, but Garcia insists that he was robbed in that contest and he wants revenge.
He continued: “He knows when he’s in the ring with me [that] it isn’t going to be like it is with these other guys. I’ve got the same fast twitch [muscles], the same eye movements, he’s never fought a fighter as quick as him, so we’ve got to see what he can do with me.”
