Fury hints 'big news' ahead of Joshua fight is imminent

Since the pair came through their respective warm-up bouts last month, it appears to be full steam ahead for the long-awaited showdown, albeit details are sparse. 

A date for Fury-Joshua is yet to be confirmed, along with a venue, with there being uncertainty about whether it will take place in the UK or the US. 

However, it looks like fight fans will soon find out when and where Fury and Joshua will go head-to-head. 

Fury teases Joshua announcement 

In a video posted on Instagram stories, Fury spoke about an announcement regarding "a big fight". 

"I’ve got some big news that’s going to be dropped very soon," Fury said. 

"All is good in the hood, a big fight is going to be on the horizon, it’s the one you’ve all been waiting for. 

"It’s about to be announced imminently, so stay tuned."

This has led to assumptions that Fury is referencing the upcoming clash with Joshua. 

Speculation around an official announcement was then heightened on Monday night when Netflix broadcast an advert during WWE Monday Night Raw. 

The advert confirmed that the fight is indeed happening, but besides showing Fury and Joshua's names, it simply said "Coming Soon". 

With the promotion machine slowly cranking into gear, it would be no surprise if an announcement is made at some point this week ahead before heavyweight attention swiftly turns to Moses Itauma's world title clash with Filip Hrgovic next weekend.
