Tyson Fury reveals everything that happened when he sparred with Anthony Joshua - Who won the spar?

Both have reigned as world champions in recent years, and a showdown in 2020 or 2021 would've seen the all-British affair go ahead with undisputed glory on the line. 

Since then, Oleksandr Usyk has ruined those plans after claiming two victories against each man, but the length of the rivalry has made it a must-see attraction, and it looks set to go down at the end of this year. 

The pair have sparred in the past when Fury travelled to London in 2010 to spend some rounds with Joshua, who was then fighting for Finchley ABC. 

Despite Fury being two years into his professional journey and Joshua still a novice amateur, Fury was honest enough to admit that his future rival performed well during the spar. 

"I went down to Finchley Boxing Club, and I sparred with the ABA champion, Anthony Joshua,” said Fury when speaking to BBC London shortly after the training session.

“He's red hot, him, he’s very good. To be honest with you, I thought to myself, ‘I’m only going to take it easy as he’s an amateur and we probably won’t spar again if I go mad.' 

“He’s rushed out at me, he threw a one-two and left hook and I slipped. I thought, 'He’s not that good, I’m going to take my time. Then bash, he gives me a big uppercut right on the point of the chin.”
