Vergil Ortiz Jr. ensured a Texan homecoming to remember as he stopped Erickson Lubin within two rounds in Forth Worth to underline his credentials once more.
The star headed back to his own turf looking for a statement victory in the super welterweight division, and delivered in front of a blockbuster crowd at Dickies Arena.
Lubin, considered as a genuine contender to the star, offered little threat in the short time he lasted in the ring, with the whole contest almost as long as the prelude.
For Ortiz Jr. however, who squared off with Jaron 'Boots' Ennis afterwards, it marks another triumph and further sets up a fascinating 2026 for the American.
