As WBC interim super welterweight champion, the star is sure to push on for a major title next year, with Sebastian Fundora the current outright title holder above him.
But the chance of a legacy-defining bout with Ennis, who stepped into the ring for a face-off afterwards, appears to be foremost in Ortiz's mind as he looks forward.
