Whittaker wows again with a second successive first round KO

He did it again, Whittaker produced another viral moment. 

A second consecutive first round knockout, this time against an experienced and tough foe in Suarez who many thought would test 'The Surgeon'. 

Instead, Whittaker was simply too quick and powerful for the Argentinian. 

This performance has set the tone for a big 2026 with Whittaker set to make his US debut on the Xander Zaya vs. Jaron 'Boots' Ennis undercard on June 27. 

McCann produces career best win in Liverpool homecoming

She may only be four fights into her boxing career, but Molly McCann is showing huge signs of improvement. 

Saturday night saw McCann return to her home city of Liverpool, and it was a party atmosphere inside the M&S Bank Arena with musician Jamie Webster performing during her ringwalk. 

McCann did not let this occasion distract her from the task at hand against a game Ashleigh Johnson. 

While Johnson did not win any rounds on my scorecard, she continued to push forward and attempted to pose a threat to McCann, but the latter's shot selection and slick footwork was too much. 

This win was McCann's best performance so far as a boxer, and if it continues, then who knows what she might achieve. 

McGrail becomes Central Area champion against flashy Hayden

Liverpool has a new champion after Joe McGrail stopped Aaron Hayden to become the Central Area titleholder at super bantamweight. 

McGrail was in control throughout the bout against Hayden who tried to be flashy with his wavy arm movements, but McGrail did not get caught up in his opponent's antics. 

The bout came to an end in round five with McGrail digging a left body shot into Hayden who was unable to continue. 

Heavyweight prospect Atang gets much needed rounds

Opening the main card, many were expecting British heavyweight prospect Leo Atang to knock out Viktar Chvarkou. 

Instead, Atang went the full six round distance, and it was a beneficial experience. 

At the age of 19, Atang has a long road ahead of him before he faces the best at heavyweight, and he will have learnt a lot after going the distance for the first time in his career. 

He even described the experience as "perfect" post fight, a clear sign Atang is level headed and not getting carried away in what was just his sixth professional bout.
