NHL Stanley Cup Playoff Results: Penguins stave off elimination; Vegas evens series

A third team had the chance to advance on Monday night. But the Pittsburgh Penguins had something to say about it, holding on to beat the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 to stave off elimination for at least one more game. The Flyers lead the series 3-2. 

Three different players scored for the Penguins as Elmer Soderblom, Connor Dewar, and Kris Letang tallied for Pittsburgh. Letang scored what ended up being the game-winner, sending the series to a Game 6 on Wednesday in Philadelphia. 

In the nightcap, the Vegas Golden Knights tied up the series, defeating the Utah Mammoth 5-4 in overtime as Shea Theodore scored with 52 seconds remaining.

The series is now tied at two games apiece with Game 5 on Wednesday in Las Vegas.
