After pay-per-views in consecutive weeks, the UFC presents their latest Fight Night on Saturday from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. In the main event, former featherweight champion and No. 1-ranked Max Holloway battles No. 3-ranked Yair Rodriguez in a featherweight contest.
Holloway and Rodriguez were scheduled to meet in July, but the fight was postponed because of an injury to Holloway. The Hawaiian superstar possesses sharp technique and toughness, shattering statistical records for significant strikes in his last time out, a dominant decision win over Calvin Kattar back in January.
It’s been more than two years since Rodriguez stepped into the Octagon for various reasons. Rodriguez last fought in October 2019, defeating Jeremy Stephens via unanimous decision.
