It's a South America vs. Europe match-up to close the World Cup quarter-finals, with Argentina taking on Switzerland in Kansas City.
The Argentines have flown by the seat of their pants in their two knockout stage matches so far, needing extra time to dispatch Cabo Verde in the round of 32 before rescuing a victory from the jaws of defeat in their last-16 game against Egypt, who held a 2-0 lead at the 79th minute and fell to a desperate Albiceleste onslaught, 3-2.
Meanwhile, Switzerland are coming off a penalty shootout victory over Colombia in which they managed just two shots on target during the 120 minutes, and they have generally played a solid, if unspectacular, style throughout the tournament.
One quirk that could come into play is travel, as the Swiss enjoyed three straight matches in Vancouver prior to this match, while Argentina have moved around the U.S. for their games.
