Just like that, we have reached the final round of group games at the 2026 World Cup , where the remaining teams who have a chance of making the Round of 32 will be keenly aware of the job in hand.
After their second round of fixtures, only seven teams have already made it through to the knockout stages, meaning there is still an awful lot to play for in the third and final group phase clashes.
Scotland are one of those teams hoping to make it through, which would be the first time a Scottish side has made it to a knockout round of a major tournament.
After their opening win over Haiti, a defeat to Morocco means it's all on the line as they play five-time winners Brazil.

How can Scotland qualify for the Last 32?
Scotland's task is simple in Miami as they need to beat Carlo Ancelotti's Brazil and book their place in the competition's final 32.
They could even top the group if Morocco fail to beat Haiti.
A point could still be enough for a third place finish, but it would be a matter of waiting to see if their total would be enough to secure one of the top eight placings.
A defeat, by a small goal margin could also be enough to see Scotland through as one of the best eight third-placed teams. However, a hammering by the men in Yellow could see Scotland fail to reach the knockout stages yet again.

Who could Scotland face in the knockout round?
It would be an opponent from Group F if Scotland finish in the top two, so most likely a meeting with either the Netherlands or Japan, depending on where each nation finishes in the respective top twos.
