Former France midfielder claims he knows why PSG did not sign Leny Yoro

Emmanuel Petit believes Paris Saint-Germain were too worried by Leny Yoro’s potential fitness problems to go through with buying the player.
Real Madrid were reportedly leading the way to buy the French teenager from Lille, but ultimately Manchester United pounced to secure his signature.
Unfortunately for the player, and United, he was injured in pre-season and suffered a broken bone in his foot, which could keep him out for several months.
That might see United return to the market to give manager Erik ten Hag another defender before the end of the transfer window.
Speaking to Gambling Zone , Petit claimed that PSG had reservations over his physicality.
He said of Yoro: “He had a great season last season with Lille. He played something like 45 games in his first season, which is remarkable for a young player. A lot of big clubs were looking at him, including PSG and Real Madrid.
“I can see why Madrid were interested because in France he is known as the new Varane. PSG were really, really interested, but they would only spend 70 million euros on him if there were guarantees with his fitness and physicality.
“In the end, they were concerned about his physicality, which is why they walked away from the deal. Now, after he got injured for Manchester United in pre-season, we can see why PSG were concerned.”
