David James backs Arne Slot for 'time and support' as Liverpool head deeper into post-Jurgen Klopp era

Liverpool can compete for the Premier League title under Arne Slot, with David James backing the Dutchman to be given "time and support" by the club's fanbase.
The Reds suffered their first misstep of the post-Jurgen Klopp era when they were shocked by Nottingham Forest at Anfield last weekend, suffering a 1-0 loss.
But they roared back with an imperious Champions League performance on Tuesday, dismantling Milan at San Siro in a 3-1 triumph.
James, who spent seven seasons at Anfield and won the 1994-95 EFL Cup with the club, thinks he has seen enough to suggest they can challenge Manchester City.
"The performances in the first three games have told me that Liverpool can compete for the title," he told safestcasinosites.co.uk . "They are playing exciting, controlling football.
"From a fan's perspective, they expect to see their team be competitive in every single competition their club enters, and if Slot can do that, they will be happy.
"Ultimately, there needs to be trophies, but I don’t think the season would be regarded as a failure if Slot didn’t deliver one in his first year.
"The Liverpool fans will give him time and support. They will also be encouraged by what they’ve seen so far."
