Mohamed Salah could return to the pitch for Liverpool on Friday, but only in a limited capacity.
The Egyptian has missed the Reds' last two matches with a thigh injury, and there were concerns that he could be unavailable for Friday's clash against hosts Aston Villa, but Arne Slot confirmed that Salah has recovered enough to play some part in Liverpool's penultimate match of the season.
“Mo will be available tomorrow for only a few minutes, but hopefully can come in," Slot said at his pre-match press conference on Thursday.
Salah will leave Liverpool at the end of the season, closing a prolific chapter in which the 33-year-old won two Premier League titles, a Champions League, an FA Cup, two Carabao Cups, and one FIFA Club World Cup. The "Egyptian King" holds the Liverpool record for most goals in a single season during the Premier League era and is the club's all-time Premier League goal scorer.
