The new Premier League season kicks off later this month, and clubs are busy trying to shape their squads for the new campaign.

Yet, of all the deals that have been signed this summer, former Manchester United hero Lee Sharpe has singled out a new arrival that he believes could stand out from the rest.
Speaking exclusively to DAZN News, thanks to NetBet, Sharpe has hailed his former club over the transfer of their new Belgian midfielder.
“Youri Tielemans has got to be one of the signings of the season for me," he said.
"To prise him away from Aston Villa for £35m is absolutely unbelievable business given his experience, ability, knowledge and how he plays. I really believe he is going to be the signing of the season.”

The Belgium international joins the Red Devils alongside Andrey Santos, who has arrived from Chelsea, but the club are still actively looking to add another body to their midfield options.

Adding, “They need some silverware, but I think that is going to be a big challenge. I think they’ll be happy to be in the Premier League title race, up there with Arsenal and City, and getting out of the group stage and into the knockout stages of the Champions League.
“British teams have shown that they can go far in the Champions League so there is no reason why Manchester United can’t have a good season this year.”
United begin their Premier League campaign away at newly promoted Hull, before welcoming Ipswich to Old Trafford for their first home tie of 2026-27.
