We try to make sense of it all in the latest Power Rankings, which are not meant to look at the overall picture, but rather to provide a snapshot based on current form, strength of opposition, and other factors. As always, these rankings are based solely on Premier League play.

The Sky Blues' title hopes took a hit with their draw at Everton over the weekend, but they extended their unbeaten streak to 12 games to remain at the top of this table.

It's been 15 matches without a loss for the Cherries, who have rightly continued to move up these rankings as they chase a European berth.

4. Arsenal (▲2)
The Gunners appear to have bounced back from the slump that threatened their title hopes, with back-to-back victories in the league.

5. Liverpool (▼3)
Liverpool's Jekyll and Hyde act continues, but they still have three wins in their last five matches.
Next match: May 9 vs. Chelsea
6. Brighton (▼3)
The Seagulls' unbeaten run came to an end last weekend, when they were defeated convincingly by Newcastle.
Next match: May 9 vs. Wolves
7. Nottingham Forest (▲3)
Forest's spring turnaround has been nothing short of amazing, with three straight victories and no losses in seven games. They've all but sewn up their spot in next year's Premier League.

8. Leeds United (▲1)
Similar to Forest, Leeds have put together a great run of matches to ensure their safety.

9. Brentford (▲2)
The Bees got back in the win column, battering West Ham 3-0, and have lost just once in their last five games.

10. Fulham (▼3)
The Cottagers were humbled by Arsenal in their most recent outing, and look to be simply treading water to end the season.

11. Newcastle (▲1)
Ended their four-match losing skid with a creditable 3-1 win at home over Brighton.
Next match: May 10 at Nottingham Forest
12. Everton (▼4)
While Arsenal fans will be elated that the Toffees took a point off Man City, Everton's winless skid now stands at four games.

13. Tottenham (▲3)
There's life left in Spurs, who are winners of back-to-back matches as they fight off relegation.
Next match: May 11 vs. Leeds United
14. Sunderland (▲3)
The Black Cats ended their two-game losing streak with a draw at Wolves over the weekend, which isn't an Earth-shattering result. However, they move up here because of several other teams dropping.

15. Aston Villa (▼2)
Somehow, Villa remain in a Champions League spot after losing their last two games and generally not impressing for months now.
Next match: May 10 at Burnley
16. West Ham (▼1)
The Hammers were humbled by Brentford and will be desperate for wins to finish the year, but their next test is a huge one.

17. Chelsea (▼3)
Chelsea's unbelievable slide continued with their sixth straight loss in the league. What a fall from grace.

18. Crystal Palace (—)
Palace are losers of two straight and are limping to the finish line.

19. Wolves (—)
All Wolverhampton Wanderers have left to play for is potentially not finishing dead last.

20. Burnley (—)
Five straight losses and winless in nine. They've won once in their last 26 (!) matches.
