Premier League Power Rankings: Arsenal continue to lead the way

Matchweek 27 saw the top six sides on the table each gain points, while the bottom six teams all failed to win despite growing urgency to avoid relegation.

We try to make sense of it all in the latest Power Rankings, which are not meant to look at the overall picture, but rather to provide a snapshot based on current form, strength of opposition, and other factors. As always, these rankings are based on Premier League play only.

Here are DAZN News' Power Rankings ahead of Matchweek 28.

1. Arsenal (—)

The Gunners remain atop our Power Rankings after their thorough dismantling of rivals Tottenham.

Next match: March 1 vs. Chelsea 

2. Manchester United (—)

The Red Devils' undefeated streak was extended to 10 matches after their win at Everton.

Next match: March 1 vs. Crystal Palace 

3. Chelsea (—)

Another undefeated streak extended, this one due to Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Burnley, although the Blues have now drawn back-to-back games and will want to return to winning quickly.

Next match: March 1 at Arsenal 

4. Liverpool (—)

The Reds left it extremely late but came away with a victory at Nottingham Forest, and have now won three of their past four league games.

Next match: Feb. 28 vs. West Ham 

5. Aston Villa (—)

Villa saw their late lead over Leeds evaporate thanks to Tammy Abrahams' 88th-minute goal, but they still walked away with a draw and have lost just one game in their past five.

Next match: Feb. 27 at Wolves

6. Manchester City (▲2)

Pep Guardiola's men have seemingly started their traditional late-season charge with three wins in a row, and they continue to recover from last month's big dip in the Power Rankings.

Next match: Feb. 28 at Leeds United

7. Leeds United (▲2)

Their draw at Aston Villa gives Leeds a three-match unbeaten streak.

Next match: Feb. 28 vs. Manchester City

8. Newcastle (▼1)

The Magpies lost to Man City last weekend and are on the verge of a massive drop in these Power Rankings if their poor form continues.

Next match: Feb. 28 vs. Everton

9. Bournemouth (▲1)

Earned a scoreless draw at West Ham to extend their unbeaten run to seven matches.

Next match: Feb. 28 vs. Sunderland

10. Brentford (▼4)

A two-goal loss to struggling Brighton earns Brentford a rightful drop.

Next match: Feb. 28 at Burnley

11. Fulham (▲4)

The Cottagers claimed a rare victory at the Stadium of Light to end their losing skid, but their big bump this week is more of a result of teams around them dropping than anything they did themselves.

Next match: March 1 vs. Tottenham

12. West Ham (▼2)

Bore draws at home are not enough for a side sitting in ther relegation zone.

Next match: Feb. 28 at Liverpool

13. Nottingham Forest (—)

Pushed Liverpool to the limit but ultimately came away with nothing.

Next match: March 1 at Brighton

14. Everton (▼3)

The Toffees are losers of consecutive matches and have won just one match of their last five.

Next match: Feb. 28 at Newcastle

15. Burnley (▲1)

Burnley taking a 1-1 draw from Chelsea at Stamford Bridge is a decent result. It won't help much in their relegation fight, though.

Next match: Feb. 28 vs. Brentford

16. Sunderland (▼2)

All of a sudden Sunderland's vaunted home-field advantage is no more, and the Black Cats have now lost three in a row.

Next match: Feb. 28 at Bournemouth

17. Brighton (▲2)

Ended their winless skid with a shock win at Brentford.

Next match: March 1 vs. Nottingham Forest

18. Crystal Palace (—)

Palace did the bare minimum by defeating Wolves 1-0 over the weekend.

Next match: March 1 at Manchester United

19. Wolves (▼2)

Speaking of Wolves, they crossed the 20-loss mark in the Premier League with that Palace defeat. That's four more losses than the next-worst side.

Next match: Feb. 27 vs. Aston Villa

20. Tottenham (—)

Even with Wolves' woes, Spurs remain at the bottom after their terrible performance in the North London Derby. That's three straight losses and no wins in nine league matches for Tottenham.

Next match: March 1 at Fulham
