Manchester City, Arsenal and surprise package Hull kept up their strong Premier League starts while Crystal Palace won a five-goal thriller.

Gianluigi Donnarumma, Manchester City
The giant goalkeeper stood firm to preserve a clean sheet and a 1-0 win over Coventry, at one point repelling Ellis Simms’ close-range shot with his face.
Neco Williams, Nottingham Forest
The full-back’s would-be winning goal was disallowed after VAR spotted a touch off his arm, but he played a major role in defence to prevent Tottenham’s new signing Savio making an impact.
John Egan, Hull
The third-placed Tigers are yet to concede and the veteran Irishman is a major reason why. A superb tackle on Aston Villa’s George Hemmings to snuff out a threatening breakaway sees him edge out team-mate Semi Ajayi.
Luka Vuskovic, Brighton
The teenager began to pay back the hefty fee that brought him from Tottenham in the summer with an imperious defensive display and the equalising goal.
Tyrick Mitchell, Crystal Palace
Equalled his best Premier League scoring season in a single afternoon – before his replacement Ben Chilwell grabbed the winner – as Palace edged Fulham for a much-needed first win.
Ao Tanaka, Leeds
The Japan international laid on Leeds’ opener for Jayden Bogle, and had a goal of his own disallowed for offside, before Vuskovic had the final say for Brighton.
Elliot Anderson, Manchester City
Completed a remarkable 146 passes as he stole the spotlight ahead of £125million debutant Enzo Fernandez, and even Donnarumma was left to applaud as Anderson tracked back to dispossess Ephron Mason-Clark in the first half.
Enzo Le Fee, Sunderland
Denied by the woodwork in the first half but netted the crucial penalty in the second – in the same fixture in which he had a Panenka attempt saved last season.
Kai Havertz, Arsenal
The German scored against his former club Chelsea and while he will not be credited with an assist, his dummy allowed Martin Odegaard to net the winner.
Cody Gakpo, Liverpool
The Dutchman could have joined Tottenham or Manchester City ahead of deadline day but Liverpool stood firm, and Gakpo repaid them with two assists…
Alexander Isak, Liverpool
