Arsenal look to end title race blip against Newcastle United

After losing to Manchester City at the weekend, the Gunners were knocked off top spot by the Blues on Wednesday after beating Burnley 1-0.

However, the gap is not as dramatic as some are making out. City are top because of goals scored, and against Burnley, it was a missed opportunity to boost the goal difference.

Now it’s Arsenal’s chance to go top once more when they host Newcastle United. The Magpies are in a state of limbo and performing well below par, so the Gunners will be hoping to make a statement and score plenty.

A comprehensive win over Newcastle will not only bring much-needed confidence to Mikel Arteta’s team but also return them to the Premier League summit, providing another twist in this enthralling title race.

Will former West Ham manager David Moyes inflict misery in East London?

While Spurs take on Wolves, their relegation rivals West Ham will also be in action in Saturday’s 3pm slot when they host Everton.

For West Ham fans, seeing David Moyes on the touchline at the London Stadium will always bring back good memories of his Europa Conference League triumph three years ago, but this will have to be put to one side for 90 minutes.

West Ham need to continue piling on the pressure on Spurs, and a win would do exactly that with the chance of producing a five-point cushion from the relegation zone if results go their way.

However, Everton are in the fight for European football, and a win could propel them into the race for the Champions League race if they get a win in the capital.
