With the UEFA Champions League play-offs are now complete, the stage is set for the league phase draw today.
As usual, many of the world's biggest clubs will be involved in this year's edition of the annual tournament, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, and back-to-back winners PSG.

When is the 2026-27 Champions League draw? Where is it?
The draw will be held at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco on August 28. Proceedings are scheduled to get underway at 6pm local time.

What is the 2026-27 Champions League draw? How does it work?
The league phase replaced the group stage at last year's tournament, and it will again involve 36 teams from across the continent.
Divided into four pots of nine teams each based on their UEFA club coefficient, the teams will be manually drawn by dignitaries at the ceremony in Monaco on August 28. Automated software will then randomly select eight opponents for each of the 36 teams, with each side facing two teams from each of the four pots.
Teams cannot face opponents from their own country during the league phase, and can only be drawn against a maximum of two opponents from the same country.

As mentioned, 36 teams have qualified for the league phase of the Champions League, and they are divided into four pots of nine.
