The earliest opportunity Arsenal could defy the odds and win the title is May 10 against West Ham United, however, the Gunners would need to win their two prior matches with Newcastle United and Fulham.
Mikel Areta's side will also have to cling on to the hope that City lose their next three matches.
This means the Blues would fall 12 points behind, staying on 67 points, while Arsenal would be on 79 points with just nine points up for grabs for the rest of the season.
When is the earliest opportunity for Man City to win the Premier League?
For City, the task is simple, and that is to keep winning.
They are no strangers to this scenario, with Pep Guardiola's side creating the reputation of a team that becomes a relentless juggernaut in the final month of the season.
The earliest City can win the Premier League title is on May 17 when they travel to Bournemouth. To make this a reality, City would need to win their next four matches, while Arsenal lose their next three.
In this scenario, City would be on 79 points with Arsenal falling nine points behind and only six points available.
If City do achieve this, then they will do this with matches against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa remaining.
