AEW Dynamite preview: Will Ospreay faces David Finlay as Britt Baker makes in-ring return

AEW returns to Athens, Georgia, on Wednesday for a special Rebel Heart edition of Dynamite, with world champion Will Ospreay and the returning Britt Baker among the biggest names in action.
Ospreay will face David Finlay in an AEW World Championship Eliminator, just one week after learning that Jon Moxley will challenge him for the title at All Out.
Baker will compete in an AEW match for the first time since November 2024, while Sting's son Steven Borden is set to make his televised in-ring debut alongside Darby Allin.
The special edition of Dynamite will honour original AEW roster member Tanea Brooks, better known as Rebel, following her ALS diagnosis earlier this year. The event will also support I AM ALS and Team Gleason.
Fans can watch AEW All Out live on DAZN on September 26, when Ospreay is set to defend the AEW World Championship against Moxley.
Will Ospreay faces David Finlay before AEW All Out

Ospreay's first reign as AEW World Champion continues following his victory over Kenny Omega at All In at Wembley Stadium.
The British star's next championship challenger was confirmed on last week's Dynamite, when Moxley confronted Ospreay before their AEW World Championship match at All Out was announced.
Before then, however, Ospreay has another challenge to overcome.
David Finlay will face the champion in an eliminator match on Wednesday, meaning a victory over Ospreay would earn Finlay a future shot at the AEW World Championship.
The match also continues Ospreay's issues with The Dogs after Gabe Kidd confronted the world champion on last week's show.
Britt Baker makes AEW in-ring return
Britt Baker will wrestle her first AEW match in almost two years on Wednesday.
The former AEW Women's World Champion last competed for the company in November 2024, when she defeated Penelope Ford on Dynamite.
Baker will team with TBS champion Persephone and Hikaru Shida against Thunder Rosa, Maya World and Hyan.
Her return is particularly fitting on a night dedicated to Rebel, who spent years alongside Baker during one of the most successful periods of her AEW career.
Baker's The Waiting Room segment will also return during the show, with Rebel joining her and Persephone and Shida appearing as special guests.
Sting's son Steven Borden makes televised debut
Another notable name will step into an AEW ring on television for the first time when Steven Borden teams with Darby Allin.
Borden, the son of wrestling icon Sting, will partner Allin against Mark Davis and Josh Alexander.
He has already made a number of appearances around AEW and became involved in Allin's match at All In, but Wednesday will mark his first televised match for the promotion.

The Waiting Room with Britt Baker and Rebel has also been announced, with Persephone and Hikaru Shida appearing as special guests.
When is AEW All Out 2026?
AEW All Out takes place on Saturday, September 26.
Ospreay will put the AEW World Championship on the line against Moxley as the fallout from All In continues.
Other matches are beginning to take shape for the PPV, including a three-way ladder match involving Cope and Christian Cage, FTR and The Young Bucks.
