Benavidez to face Cieslak in December
David Benavidez's next move is close to being made official, and it appears he will be staying at cruiserweight.
First reported by Abraham Gonzalez of FightsATW , Benavidez will be defending his WBA and WBO cruiserweight titles against WBC interim champion Michal Cieslak.
This was later confirmed by The Ring's Mike Coppinger, with December 12 the supposed date.
Gonzalez also revealed that the fight is likely heading to Phoenix, Arizona.
Miller wants former world champion Ball
British featherweight Zak Miller is hoping to have a big end to 2026.
The 29-year-old has not fought since beating Leon Woodstock last August, but the British featherweight landscape has presented him with plenty of options.
Miller was set to face Liam Davies in March, but injury forced him to withdraw, and Davies instead beat Francesco Grandelli for the European title.
Then there's Nick Ball , who has not fought since losing his world title to Brandon Figueroa , and Scotland's Nathaniel Collins , who will be attempting to bounce back from his defeat to Cristobal Lorente against Davies in September.
For Miller, he is hoping to be in action soon to shake off some ring rust before landing a big domestic bout.
“I want these by the end of the year,” Miller told The Ring .
“I want to be known in this sport for being in 50-50 massive domestic dust-ups. That's what I want, and that's what I've got three names in front of me there for.
“I'm not bad mouthing them. They're all good fighters, but, yes, any of them can get it.”
