The IBF-ordered welterweight contest between Karen Chukhadzhian and Paddy Donovan is heading to purse bids.
The winner will become the next mandatory challenger for the IBF strap, which is currently held by Lewis Crocker.
Crocker was last seen defeating Donovan by decision in September and he is due to face Australia’s Liam Paro this spring.
The sanctioning body has scheduled a March 24 hearing to determine promotional rights for the contest.
Sticking with purse bids, Matchroom Boxing have secured the rights to stage the fight between WBC and WBA flyweight champion Ricardo Sandoval and Galal Yafai.
Matchroom promotes Yafai and they outbid Sandoval promoter Golden Boy $625,000 to $411,000, the WBC announced
It is reported that 90% of the total purse ($562,500) will be split 55/45 in favour of Sandoval, and the remaining 10% ($62,500) will go to the winner as a bonus.
Matchroom said a date and venue will be announced shortly.
